Black Roses

Hey Dolls!!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far.  I am so ready for this week to be over and ready for my trip to Hawaii!!!!  I can't wait!!  This will be a MUCH needed vacation with my girls.

Have any of you ever been to Hawaii?  If so share your experiences PLEASE.  I'm really having the hardest tie deciding what to pack.  My goal is to be Cute and Comfy.

Now, about the outfit.  I'm actually wearing one of the items I purchased while Thrifting last month - this black see through shirt.  It topped this look off right.

This was also the first time I attempted the belt tying trick that I have seen so many Fashionistas  rocking.  My attempt kind of turned out upside down, LOL!!  The buckle wouldn't allow me to have it any other way.

But it still looks cute, to me anyway.  I am so thankful that Style of Sam posted this belt tying tutorial on her blog.  Thanks so much Sam!!!!

What I'm Wearing:
Shirt:  Thrifted
Floral Print Dress (worn as a shirt):  Forever 21
Skirt:  Zara
Shoes:  Paris Hilton
Purse:  Express (OLD)
Earrings:  Target
Necklace:  Forever 21
Bracelets:  Jo Ann's Fabrics
Ring:  Betsey Johnson

Before I go, I would like to say I am so happy and thankful for all the love and support from all of my new followers and Twitter Fam.  Despite my thoughts, Twitter is such a great place to connect with so many people.  I am loving it already!  I have actually come across some great blogs on there.  Who Knew? LOL!  Go Twitter!!!

I LOVE the PINK Bottoms on Paris Hilton's shoes.  I guess these shoes could count towards my "wearing pink" Breast Cancer Awareness month too!!

Love You for Following,
G

  7. I live in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. I have also been to Hawaii. I think Maxi dresses, platforms, espadrilles, cute sandals and flip flops are the way to go. I always like to pack what is wrinkle free and breezy. It is always in the 80's or 90's so layering or tight fabric just make you sweat. Sweating is not normally sexy. ;)
http://blog.wearevertheweather.com/ is an excellent blog to look at travel clothes. I could talk forever on this subject...but I will stop while I am ahead.

  8. I just came back from Oahu (Waikiki) and Maui. In Oahu, it was hot during the day. At night, you could wear a denim jacket if you tend to get chilly. Maui was hot during the day and very chilly at night, as our hotel was right on the water. Save some room in you luggage to bring back cute jewelry!

  13. Super cute outfit!!!
Being that we just got back from Oahu (aka Honolulu), Im guessing you will experience the same weather we did which was just purely amazing! I love the weather there as oppose to Florida. During the day, I wore alot of cute maxi dresses with alot of accessorizing. Jump suits. Alot of strapless stuff to show off my curves. I wore alot of flats. I think I wore heels only twice the entire trip (When we went out or to a nice dinner). My goal for this trip was just to remain comfortable! Also, a few cute scarves would be nice to bring because on certain parts of the island, I noticed was very breezy and made my hair just go wild. Definitely bring a light sweater or jacket because it gets a bit nippy at night. Let me know if you need any other help, tips, etc. You're gonna LOVE it there!!!

  15. First of all I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing.
I've had a hard time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Thanks!
