No Bad Ideas!

Hey Dolls!!

I hope that you all enjoyed Christmas with your loved ones!!  I took the time to relax and had some well deserved "Me Time."  Anyhoo, a while back I won this FLY SNAPBACK on one of my FAVORITE blogs:  Get Whit It.  If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the pictures I posted of the hat when I won it.

The Snapback comes from Street-Inspired Headwear Brand "No Bad Ideas."  How cool is that name?  During one of my regular reads of Get Whit It, I saw that Whitney W. got a chance to meet these designers during Fashion's Night Out and I'm so glad they did and introduced me to this brand.  The designers are Midwest based out of Indianapolis and you can find their fabulous designs in independent retaliers throught the country as well as their website

The hat I won is a Limited Edition No Bad Ideas/Rad Summer collaboration in black with white lettering on it so in my mind, it can be paired with virtually ANYTHING.  Its funny that more and more pieces in my wardrobe have become neutrals.  I paired it with what have now become my favorite pair of jeans, LOL!  I have worn these Gap jeans to death, but they are just so comfortable its hard not to grab them, especially on weekends.  But I also decided to put on my Camo jacket, a tank and my hot pink pantent leather pumps for a pop of color.  I wished they would have shown up better in these pictures - they're really bright!

One of the coolest features of the hat is the paisley design under the bill.  Of course you can't see it while its on, but I included a picture below for you to get the idea.

What I'm Wearing: Old Navy  Jacket/Target Tank Top/Gap Jeans/H&M Belt/Heart Soul Shoes/Bakers Bracelets/Target Earrings/Rafe for Target Purse/No Bad Ideas Snapback

So Dolls, do you rock hats?  If so what kinds?  I'm glad I won this Giveaway from No Bad Ideas, this snapback is a nice addition to my hat collection.  Be sure to check out their website for more items.  They have a very nice collection, I think you can find something for everyone.

Square One and Fun, Fun, Fun!

Hey Dolls!!

Lately, I have been having fun at some cool events in Tampa. The Fashionable and Artsy Scene in Tampa has had quite a bit to offer as of late.  That makes me smile because although the communityis so warm and inviting.  Once you go to one event and meet a few people, you start hearing about more and more things.

A few weeks ago, my Fly Girl Tre told me about  Square One's 5th Annual ART + FASHION + MUSIC + DANCE Event: Invincible Summer and of course I went and had a ball  It was a very fun event that included all things artsy.  I snapped shots of some of the flyest looks I saw and met some cool people (including a fellow St. Louis native) to hang out with.

One of the people I met that night was Areis and he was so cool, we ended up meeting for brunch the next day and just talked like we've known each other for years.  I love it when that happens!!  Take a look at the pictures I snapped below:

How cool is that!!!  The event was as fun as it looked.  A little something for everyone.  And wasn't everyone's look fab?  This is one of those events where you can expect to see anything.  People had fun with their clothes and you know I LOVE that!!!!

What I'm Wearing: Marshall's Jacket/Target Tank Top/Gap Jeans/H&M Belt/Dolce Vita Shoes/Macy's Necklace/Forever21 Bracelets/Thrifted Earrings/Steve Madden Clutch

We also snapped shots after brunch.  Check them out below:

Christmas Wish List

Hey Dolls!!

I guess it’s time to share my Grown Up Christmas List since Christmas is literally a week away.  Where oh where did 2012 go?  It was such a blur to me.  Anyhoo, my list features some items I’ve been coveting for a while now.  So this isn’t so much just a Christmas List, let’s call it my 2013 Shopping List, LOL!!!  I know it’s pretty hefty but I don’t think it’s that bad…is it? Christmas Wish List

Burberry trench coat, $1,645 / Giuseppe Zanotti high heels / L.A.M.B. platform shoes / Minnetonka , $160 / Gucci / MICHAEL Michael Kors michael kors watch / Handcrafted jewelry / Sensi Studio panama hat / Urban Decay glitter eye shadow / Marc Jacobs

Here’s a little insight on why I selected these items:

Red Gucci Leather “Soho” Bag – Ok, if you don’t know by now, RED is my FAVORITE color and my first name starts with the letter “G”…and I LOVE Gucci.  Why not get a Gucci bag that fits me PERFECTLY?

Daisy by Marc Jacobs Perfume – When I smelled this I fell in love with it and I have been meaning to buy it all year, LOL!  I love sets of perfume because it helps your fragrance stay on longer when you layer it.

Minnetonka Moccasins – These shoes grew on me.  I didn’t use to like them but, I started thinking they were cute last year.  And when I saw Tam at Get It Girl Style rocking them so fabulously, I knew I had to have several pair!

New Flat Screen TV – I have procrastinated about this over and over again, LOL!!!  I guess, I’ll go ahead and get another one for the house.  Time to update and upgrade.  I just hate paying for stuff like this.

Panama Hat – Ok, Love these hats, I feel like I’m one of few people who don’t own one and looking into my wardrobe, a hat like this would spruce up a lot of looks.  I just need to find a reasonably priced version that fits my big head.

Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch – Well isn’t this just the cutest?  When I was younger, My Mama used to buy me a watch EVERY CHRISTMAS, so I guess it’s like a tradition.  I haven’t worn one on the regular for a while, but this one might make me start.

Urban Decay Naked Color Palette – As you Dolls know, I would like to step my Make Up Game up and a lot of the beauty bloggers I follow use this and advertise it as a worthwhile selection!

L.A.M.B. “Ohio II” Shoes – I think L.A.M.B. is one of the BEST celebrity clothing lines.  I love how all of the items in the line have some type of uniqueness to them.  A pair of the shoes has been on my “Wish List” FOREVER.  I really like this pair because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Houndstooth.

Burberry London Trench Coat – Now, I love trench coats and I have them in several colors but I don’t have the “Traditional Trench” in my collection at all.  Burberry is a master of making these.  Now, at the moment, I don’t have to have the Burberry per se…but this would be a classic item to incorporate into any wardrobe.  The investment would totally be worth it!  Classic and Timeless piece.

Black Over the Knee Boots – I just want a pair and need a pair.  They are very hard to come by in central Florida of course.  But I’m also reluctant to buy them online because I have big legs, LOL!

Apple iPad – I think I’m like seriously the ONLY person in the world who doesn’t have one or some type of tablet.  They are so convenient and sleek.  It could help me get a lot done during the day without having to lug around a laptop.

Gold Chain Link Necklace – Been wanting one of these for years.  I’ll probably go ahead and get myself this ASAP.  They are so cute on any style of outfit.

So Dolls, that is why I want what I want.  What about you?  What are you wanting this year for Christmas…do tell!

Khaki Cranberry

Hey Dolls!!

The weather in Tampa has allowed me to do a bit of layering recently.  So I dug up this sweater I got from Old Navy on clearance last year and wore it over this Gingham shirt I snagged out of the Boys section in Target.  The color combination goes great together and made me think of the series Eboni did for InStyle Magazine this Summer "Neutral Know How".  If you haven't had a chance to look at it, please do over on her blog.

I also pulled out my cute Earrings  from Bombay Gal Butik.  The added perfectly to the color scheme.  I decided to put on my new lippie from L'Oreal Paris called Tickled Pink. Its such a soft and cute pink.  I was looking for a little bit more of a pop in this soft pink, but I ended up liking it.  That is the risk you take when buying drug store brand cosmetics, you don't get a test run.  But for me they work just the same.  I'm not a makeup girl per se, but I like adding new things to my small collection.

What I'm Wearing: Old Navy Sweater/Target Gingham Shirt (Boys Section)/Betsey Johnson Purse/Gap Khakis/Bombay Gal Butik Earrings/ABC Trading Co. Cocktail Ring/Gold Guess Bracelet/Target Beaded Bracelet/STEVEN by Steve Madden Shoes (old)/Versona Accessories Sunnies
So Dolls, what Fashion techniques are you using this Winter?  Layering is one of my favorites because living in Florida doesn't often require a coat and layering is more than enough.
