Hey Dolls!!

Does color blocking ever get old?  Well if you ask me I say NO!  I feel like its the perfect solution when you can't think of anything else to wear.  Some say there are rules to color blocking, I say break the rules.  Pick colors you like, put them together and BOOM...you're done!
I got these pants from one of my first thrifting experiences and I love them so much.  They can be worn so many ways and believe me, I have gotten my little $1.98 worth, LOL!!  I added a white blazer and some gold jewelry and before I knew it, I had a full outfit.
What I'm Wearing:  Old Navy Blazer/Thrifted Shirt and Pants/Phillip Lim for Target Purse/Charming Charlie Necklace/BCBG Pumps/Nordstrom Earrings
If you guys can't tell by the pictures, my crazy friend Tre took these pictures for me.  She always had me doing all kinds of "EXTRA" stuff just to get a shot. By the time were done, I'm usually so exhausted.  She makes me truly give props to full time models because what they do is HARD WORK baby!  LOL!
I have to admit, as much as I give her a hard time we actually do come up with some pretty good shots, LOL!

Traditional Girl

Hey Dolls!!

Do you ever like to dress preppy?  Well, sometimes I do.  LOL!  You can actually put so many spins on traditional preppy looks and make them  your own.  My look today is a very casual preppy-inspired look.  I included some of what I like to call the typical preppy elements:  khaki, plaid (tartan), and the red, white and blue color scheme.
All of these pieces were pulled from my closet.  I have worn them so many different ways.  That is the good thing about "creating looks", you have the choice to wear the pieces in so many different ways.  Traditional pieces NEVER go out of style.  They can have what I like to think of as cyclical style.

What I'm Wearing:  Express Denim Jacket/Macy's Necklace/Target Shirt (boy's department) and Booties/Belt stolen from another skirt/H&M Skirt/Bracelets from Dillard's and Talbot's/Tory Burch Purse/Nordstrom Earrings
If you love preppy looks, share your love and show me how you rock it!

Raspberry

Hey Dolls!!

I know its been a minute since I've posted but I'm back!  I know from the looks of some of you alls pictures and comments that you guys are experiencing some cold weather and I'm loving all of the Fall and Winter looks I see.  But I'm happily here in the Sunshine State with no Fall or Winter in site.  I must say I love it.  That is the reason I live in Florida.  I don't like cold weather anymore.

I put this simple look together just by adding a pop of color to what could have been a plain all black look.  I encourage people to do this more often because color is beautiful.  I had no idea how many people fear adding color to their wardrobe.  Just try it!
What I'm Wearing:  BCBG Blazer/Target Shirt, Pants, and Necklace/Kensie Girl Shoes/Bracelet purchased in Hawaii/Flea Market Earrings

Happy to be back Dolls!!  Enjoy your week!!

Would You Like A Tour? - Drake Concert Look

Hey Dolls!!

So last nights was one of my FAVORITE nights of all time.  Last night, I got to attend the concert of one of my favorite artists of all time....DRAKE!!!  Anybody who knows me knows that I LOVE ME SOME DRAKE.  I have been a fan since my very first listen.  The first song I heard was Best I Ever Had in 2009 and I have been hooked ever since.  So you can imagine how excited I was when I found out he was coming to Tampa as the headline for his 2013 tour, "Would You Like A Tour?"  Yes Please!  I got every bit of my life at that concert Dolls!
If you're a Drake fan and he comes to your city or a city nearby be sure to check him out.  You won't be disappointed.  He is such a great performer.  I could go on and on about this man, but I'm sure you Dolls are here more for my outfit details so I won't keep you waiting any longer.
For the concert, I wanted to wear something a little bit more edgy and relaxed at the same time. Plus, I have been so into hats lately, so I wanted this look to incorporate a hat.
I decided on this LOVE/HATE shirt I found at Forever 21 and my fabulous Kelsi Dagger over the knee boots.  I know what your thinking, did she just throw on a shirt and some boots, well yeah...kinda,  LOL!  I told you I wanted to be edgy.  Don't worry dolls, I have shorts on underneath this shirt.  I was not about to risk a wardrobe malfunction...Ain't NOBODY got time for that.
What I'm Wearing:  Forever 21 T-Shirt and Earrings/Gifted Necklace/Kelsi Dagger Over The Knee Boots/Rue 21 Knuckle Clutch/eBay Handlet/Burlington Coat Factory Bracelet/Target Faux Leather Baseball Cap
My look was perfect for the concert.  It was fashionable enough to enjoy the concert while being fashionable at the same time!  As a surprise, one of my FAVORITE fashionistas of all time was in the house, the one and only Mary J. Blige. I was so happy to see her.  She was fly as always.  That concert was so good that I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
Well, that's it for today Dolls!  Let me know what edgy pieces you plan to incorporate in your wardrobe and how you plan to rock them.
