Blogger Inspired Fashion Week 2013 Featuring: Ivonne Stacy - Ivonne Stacy Style

Hey Dolls!!

It’s Day 2 of Blogger Inspired Fashion Week and you guys are in for a treat.  Today’s feature is the lovely Ivonne of Ivonne Stacy Style.  Ivonne’s style appealed to me because she is ALWAYS so very well put together.  Her look is perfectly polished and manicured, even in her casual looks, she still very polished and girly.  I admire ladies that can pull that off all the time.

Ivonne has accomplished quite a bit with her short time spent in the blog world.  She recently launched an online store called “The Stylish Closet” where you can find some fab items at affordable prices.  How exciting is that?  You know that is right in alignment with “What’s More Important Than Fashion?” so definitely check that out when you get a minute.

I was also very happy to find out that Ivonne actually has a Fashion Background with a degree in Fashion Merchandising under her belt.  If you follow her blog or her Instagram, you can also take a peek into her fabulous decorating sense.  I love when she posts pictures of her finished décor projects.  Very neat and well put together just like her clothes, and if you can’t tell Ivonne has a thing for the color turquoise.  She uses it very well in her designs.  I know you want more of Ivonne, so take a look at her interview below to learn more about this fashionista:

Name: Ivonne Stacy
Age (optional): 25
Full Time Career: Marketing Specialist

Tell me and My Readers a little bit about yourself and your background.
I am a 25 year old Latina from Dallas, Texas. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have a little pup named Tobi, who is like our baby. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. I have a passion for fashion and interior decorating. We recently bought our first home and I have been like a crazy lady decorating every inch.

How would you describe your signature style?
I would describe my signature style as Feminine Chic. I adore feminine silhouettes like skater skirts, dresses, peplum tops….But I also love edgy and casual fashion. I am all over the place- depending on the day, weather and mood.

How do you go about creating an outfit or look?
I don’t have a specific ritual. Ideas just pop in my head and I play around with it.

What is your FAVORITE Feature to accentuate?
I love to accentuate my curves. Plus it serves as inspiration for my readers to not be self-conscious and rock what you love.

Do you have any Fashion Challenges?
I am a little short, 5’2”, and sometimes it is difficult to find trousers the right length-they are always too long.
What are your FAVORITE places to shop?
Forever21, Lulus.com, ASOS.com, Target. I love to surf online sites.

Is there a Spring/Summer trend that you’re dying to incorporate into your wardrobe?
I am just excited for all the beautiful pastel colors. I am a sucker for those colors!

Why Blogging?  What turned you on to the Blogosphere?
After I graduated college I needed an outlet to express my love for fashion and show my creativity. I had been following a few bloggers during college so when I finally had enough time to have my own, I pursued it.

What thing(s) sets your blog apart from other blogs?
I am a proud Latina and don’t fit the mold of the typical fashionista/bloggers we are seeing represented in magazines or by the major brands. I feel like more women can relate to my blog because I look like them. I am not super skinny-I have curves and try my very best to accentuate them and show them that no matter what size you are you can be stylish!

Where do you see your Blog a year from now?
I hope to continue to grow and make my blog a great source of inspiration for women. I just opened my little shop on the blog.  I hope to build that out to a full site and continue to grow that as well.

Name 3 Bloggers whose style you just live for.

As you know, my blog is geared towards FASHION and FINANCE, so tell me in what ways do you combine the two.
I love to show women that you don’t have to spend a million bucks to look like a million bucks. All of my outfits are affordable and I love a good bargain!

What advice would you give to up and coming Fashion Bloggers?
Be yourself! Stay true to who you are and express your creativity fully. Never care about what others think or might think. Be consistent and stay humble.
Alright, now how about that Dolls!!!  Ivonne did not disappoint.  It’s obvious that her Fashion background has and will continue to take her very far.  Her Passion for Fashion is very clearly exuded at all times.  I also love the fact that Ivonne knows who she is, embraces it and is proud about it.  Her Latin background and fabulous curves are always showcased with class and confidence.  That definitely gets a Yesssssss in my book!!!!

Now selecting one of Ivonne’s looks wasn’t very hard at all.  I chose to select a look that was more causal for her because I love when she veers this way in her blog posts.  So here we go, I chose this Cute and Casual Look featured on Ivonne Stacy Style in March of 2012 in a post titled “Chicness of a Scarf.”   Ivonne, I hope you like it!
Now Dolls, give Ivonne Stacy some What’s More Important Than Fashion style love!!
