Blogger Inspired Fashion Week 2013 Featuring: Ellie - Fashion With Ellie

Hey Dolls!!

Rounding out the First Week of #BIFW2013 we have the lovely Ellie of Fashion with Ellie.  I came across Ellie’s Blog on The Fashion Bomb on one of their "Bombshell of the Day" features and her fabulous pictures led me directly to her blog and I’ve been a follower since then.
Ellie’s style is so fly to me.  She has that Dressed Up Casual California Girl down to a science in my opinion.  Her style is so easy and carefree and looks flawless without trying too hard.  I always feel like she definitely wears the clothes…they don’t wear her and that is an important element of one’s style.

Ellie also celebrates her fabulous curves in the most flattering ways and that hair is TO DIE FOR!!  If you dolls don’t know Ellie, I’m sure you’ll love her and her blog after this interview.  Check out what Ellie had to say below:

Name: Ellie
Age (optional): 25
Full Time Career: Work for M. Missoni

Tell Me and My Readers a little bit about yourself and your background.
My name is Ellie, I’m born and raised in San Diego, California. I’m an Aries, (I’m very proud of that). My sister and I have the same birthday  (April 2nd) but are born 14 years apart. I love to eat sushi and seafood!! I’m very family orientated. I’m a big mommy’s girl. I love to drink Bourbon after a long day at work. I’m obsessed with doing squats and lunges. I can be just be watching TV and I’ll literally be doing squats the whole time.

How would you describe your signature style?
My signature style is a pair of jeans, white tee, strappy sandals and messy hair.

How do you go about creating an outfit or look?
I go based on how I feel in the morning. I sometimes just pick a pair of shoes I want to wear and go based off that. I like to add layers, if my outfit looks plain I will add a blazer, or scarf. Just something to give it more personality.

What is your FAVORITE Feature to accentuate?
My hair and my curves.

Do you have any Fashion Challenges?
No, but I should start some. That would be a lot of fun!!

What are your FAVORITE places to shop?
Zara, H&M and Macy’s.

Who are your FAVORITE Designers and/or Clothing Brands?
My favorite designer is Isabel Marant. She has great pieces!! I also like Helmut Lang.

Is there a Spring/Summer trend that you’re dying to incorporate into your wardrobe?
The all black and white trend with leather. It’s very clean and simple. Also, adding floral prints to my outfits.

Why Blogging?  What turned you on to the Blogosphere?
I started blogging because I wanted to inspire other average gals like myself. I wanted to show that you can dress affordable and still look great.

What thing(s) sets your blog apart from other blogs?
I’m myself. My blog is not always based on what’s in style, I go based on what works for me.

Where do you see your Blog a year from now?
Hopefully maturing and growing with fashion trends.

Name 3 Bloggers whose style you just live for.

As you know, my blog is geared towards FASHION and FINANCE, so tell me in what ways you combine the two.
I shop on a budget.  I am a huge online shopper, you find amazing deals online. I also shop at places like H&M, Forever 21 and Zara. Those stores have a lot of great items. I also love shopping at Macy’s you can find some great sale pieces there. I also splurge on priceless items. I have found that sometimes splurging can end up saving you money. Because in the end little purchases tend to add up.

What advice would you give to up and coming Fashion Bloggers?
Be you!! Don’t try to be like anyone else. Sometimes blogging can mess with your insecurities. Just stay confident and be unique.
Isn’t she such a fab girl with fab style?  I love that her goals are to inspire average girls just like her and that her style is totally true to who she is and what works for her.  I had to laugh when she said she’ll just bust out doing squats and lunges out of nowhere, LOL!!  Hey, it’s definitely worth it.  Keeps the legs right girl!

Choosing a look of Ellie’s to replicate was actually a breeze.  She has so many looks to choose from and her casual flare has elements I bet every girl has in their wardrobe, but you just never thought to put them together like Ellie does.  Well…here goes.  I chose to rock this look featured on Fashion with Ellie on April 7, 2012 from her Rise N’ Shine post.

Tell me what you think Dolls.  Ellie, how did I do?
