Would You Like A Tour? - Drake Concert Look

Hey Dolls!!

So last nights was one of my FAVORITE nights of all time.  Last night, I got to attend the concert of one of my favorite artists of all time....DRAKE!!!  Anybody who knows me knows that I LOVE ME SOME DRAKE.  I have been a fan since my very first listen.  The first song I heard was Best I Ever Had in 2009 and I have been hooked ever since.  So you can imagine how excited I was when I found out he was coming to Tampa as the headline for his 2013 tour, "Would You Like A Tour?"  Yes Please!  I got every bit of my life at that concert Dolls!
If you're a Drake fan and he comes to your city or a city nearby be sure to check him out.  You won't be disappointed.  He is such a great performer.  I could go on and on about this man, but I'm sure you Dolls are here more for my outfit details so I won't keep you waiting any longer.
For the concert, I wanted to wear something a little bit more edgy and relaxed at the same time. Plus, I have been so into hats lately, so I wanted this look to incorporate a hat.
I decided on this LOVE/HATE shirt I found at Forever 21 and my fabulous Kelsi Dagger over the knee boots.  I know what your thinking, did she just throw on a shirt and some boots, well yeah...kinda,  LOL!  I told you I wanted to be edgy.  Don't worry dolls, I have shorts on underneath this shirt.  I was not about to risk a wardrobe malfunction...Ain't NOBODY got time for that.
What I'm Wearing:  Forever 21 T-Shirt and Earrings/Gifted Necklace/Kelsi Dagger Over The Knee Boots/Rue 21 Knuckle Clutch/eBay Handlet/Burlington Coat Factory Bracelet/Target Faux Leather Baseball Cap
My look was perfect for the concert.  It was fashionable enough to enjoy the concert while being fashionable at the same time!  As a surprise, one of my FAVORITE fashionistas of all time was in the house, the one and only Mary J. Blige. I was so happy to see her.  She was fly as always.  That concert was so good that I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
Well, that's it for today Dolls!  Let me know what edgy pieces you plan to incorporate in your wardrobe and how you plan to rock them.

Cat In The Hat!

Hey Dolls!!
Have you been to your local JCPenney’s lately?  Well, if you haven’t, you need to go.  For those of you that don’t know (and have obviously been living under a rock), JCPenney has completely revamped their store with the most fashionable offerings they have ever had in my opinion.
Now, I initially went in there because my friend told me they had (faux) leather baseball hats on sale in oxblood for like $6 so I went in there with the mindset to ONLY PURCHASE the hat…yeah well that turned into me buying so much more stuff because they had an amazing sale going on and I had a coupon, LOL!!  That makes it OK, right?
What’s even funnier is that I ran into an old colleague of mine and she gave me her coupon as well, so that was even more of a reason to get more stuff.  I walked away with a lot including the jacket and skirt I have on in this post.  They are part of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s JCPenney line called “Olsenboye” and I must say I love them both.  I also got some shorts that match the textured part of the jacket as well.  All on sale and all in fashion.
What I’m Wearing:  Olsenboye Jacket and Skirt/Forever 21 Camisole/Tory Burch Purse/BDG Knee Boots via Urban Outfitters/Charming Charlie Necklace/Betsey Johnson Ring/Kitty Ear Derby Bowler via eBay
I ended up wearing this look the same day I bought it because I had a Fashion Show to go to and I figured, why not.  Added some pops of red to this look and there you have it.

Fashionable Halloween

Hey Dolls!!

BOO!! Did you have a Happy Halloween?  Well I sure did.  It was my goal this year to be a bit more creative with my Halloween costume.  You know, I didn’t wanna be lazy with an “At-Home” costume and I didn’t want to purchase one from the store either and risk being someone’s Halloween twin.  Also, the ultimate goal was to keep it fashionable.
A few weeks ago, I was invited to an actual Halloween Party so I knew I had a REAL reason to get dressed up for the Holiday.  So I toyed around with a few people to be and multiple ideas.  I finally settled on Carmen SanDiego.  In addition to LOVING this show as a kid (nerd alert), I took one look at the cartoon images of her and I knew I had the necessary pieces to complete this look in my closet(s).  So I just went for it.  The only thing I ended up purchasing for this look was the hat, which I scored from Dollar Tree for…you guessed it one dollar and the yellow felt I glued to the hat to make it just like Carmen’s hat.  I bought the felt from my local JoAnn’s Fabrics for 25 cents.
What I’m Wearing:  Kenneth Cole Trench Coat/Thrifted Blouse Lemon Lime Peacock (last seen here)/Kelsi Dagger Over The Knee Boots/Thrifted Earrings/Random Gloves/Walmart CD Case (used as faux briefcase/Dollar Tree Hat/JoAnn's Fabric Felt (used as a faux ribbon)
I am very HAPPY to report that my costume was a HIT!!  It was so funny when people were a little unsure and trying to guess who I was they would kind of whisper to me:  Are you Carmen SanDiego?” LOL!!!  But the people who knew for sure, would sing part of the show’s theme song:  Where in the world is Carmen SanDiego?  It was hilarious!!  I actually ended up going to two parties and at the second party, this guy gave me $20 because he said I had the BEST costume he’d seen all night and I should win something.  Pure comedy, I had to take a picture with him.
I really enjoyed myself for Halloween 2013.  I’m looking forward to next year.  I wonder who I’ll be.  One thing is for sure, it will be FASHIONABLE.

Did you guys dress up this year?  If so, tell me who you were and provide a link on social media outlet where I can see the pictures.  I have seen so many good costumes this year, I’d love to see more.
