Hey Dolls!!

I'm sporting another casual look today.  Today's look features this cute top I got from Juice and my favorite ripped jeans.  Nothing fancy but it works for a nice casual day.  The good thing about this look is that I decided to add a bit of extra with some cute heeled sandals.

This was really a no brainer look for me.  Its so basic but its fun.  I love adding fun elements to looks that give them just a little more kick!  Oh and and by the way, I love these sandals, LOL!!
What I'm Wearing:  Juicy Couture Top/Gap Jeans/Steve Madden Sandals/Bracelets via Dillard's and Disney World/Forever 21 Earrings
What is your favorite no brainer look?  Do you have a "Go To" item.  These ripped jeans are definitely one of mine!

Hey Dolls!!

I have a question, what are some of your favorite Fashionable Throwbacks?  Well I will be sharing a few of mine on the blog and today is my first post dedicated to it.  I can tie this directly to my love of fashion very easily.  If you’re anything like me, you can totally relate a particular era of time in your life by what clothes were on trend or in style during that time period.  One of my absolute favorites was the 90’s.  Sometimes during the 90’s, I wished that I was an adult so I could wear some of the styles in the 90’s that I didn’t get a chance to wear.  I could go on and on about that.  But, I’ll save that for another post.  In this post our first Fashionable Throwback will be CROSS COLOURS clothing.
I remember this brand being huge during my middle school years and I just loved it.  I was (and still am) a huge TLC fan and they wore tons of it, so that made me like it even more.  It was one of the first times I realized there was a clothing brand designed by an African American.  It wasn’t until later that I understood the meaning and symbolism in how the clothes were designed and the actual name brand:  Cross Colours.
This unique brand of clothing, launched in 1989 created a fashion movement based around black youth with a message that promoted “clothes without prejudices”.  The creator Carl Jones used clothes to promote political and social messages like putting and end to gang violence and creating racial unity in the African American community and eventually others.

Another thing that was so fabulous about the brands were the ads.  The models they chose always oozed sex appeal and style and I thought it was style genius.
Take a look at some of the flyest ways CROSS COLOURS was rocked back in the day.  It was such a cool time in fashion.
About a week ago my best friend tagged me in a post on Instagram of Teyana Taylor and another young lady ricking a fabulous Cross Colours Leather jacket and I did some further fashionable investigating and it appears that Cross Colours has made a comeback!!  Guess who is here for it??? ME!!!!
I will be looking for me some pieces that I can incorporate into my wardrobe and make them work for me and my style now.  I love it!!  If you’re interested in getting some Cross Colours pieces find them (here).

Spring Forward

Hey Dolls!!

I know I look like a bag of Skittles but I just had to do it for Spring!  When Spring hits, there are days that I love to be colorful as much as I possibly can and this just...happened.  Color on top of Color on top of Color.  I'm wearing very simple items that have a bit of flare to them.
What I'm Wearing:  Joe Fresh Blouse/Banana Republic Pants (thrifted)/Praral Gurung for Target Pumps/Forever 21 Earrings/Necklace Purchased at a Jewelry Party/Juicy Couture Bracelet & Purse
So Dolls, do you ever find yourself going into color overload like I did with this look?  I feel like my accessories bring life to my solid color top and pants so it doesn't feel like too much.  Even though there is a lot of color to take in, I used the accessories to play up the look more. So its a lot of color in small doses.
I'm also finally rocking my purse and bracelet that I purchased from the Juicy Couture Orlando Outlet's Store Closing sale.  I got such fab deals on these (and several other items), I couldn't resist adding them to this look.

My Booties!

Hey Dolls!!

You know that feeling you get when you get that new pair of shoes that you think are just EVERYTHING?!  Well that is how I feel about these cute little booties I scored at Marshall's.  They were marked down and I just had to get them.  They are by MIA and super cute and comfy.  Since we had a few cool days here recently I created a layered look to rock with these cute open toed booties.

You guys have seen this blazer on the blog several times.  One of my favorite thrifted items because its so versatile or maybe I just make it that way, LOL!  Now you know me, I feel there are so many ways to rock these booties and living in the climate I live in, I can probably get away with rocking them all year long and that's exactly what I'll do.
What I'm Wearing:  Thrifted Express Blazer/Target Denim Shirt (Boy's Section)/Kenneth Cole Pocketless Cargo Pants/MIA Booties/Earrings from a Vendor at the ZNH Festival/Burlington Coat Factory Bracelet and Ring/PnK Elephant Necklace
I had fun taking these pictures playing around with my tripod around my house and in my doorway, LOL!!  This might be a new picture taking spot Dolls. I have to get it where I can because the Florida sun can be problematic when using a tripod for pictures.
Anyhoo Dolls, that is it for today.  I hope you enjoyed my new booties and much as I do.  What has been your most recent shoe purchase(s)?  Let me know!
