Blogger Inspired Fashion Week 2014 Featuring: Melissa - Faith Family Fashion

Hey Dolls!!

I want to know how you’re loving Blogger Inspired Fashion Week so far.  I hope that you’re enjoying it as we round out week #1 with the lovely Melissa from Faith Family Fashion.  I’ve been following Melissa’s blog for quite some time now and I love her feminine and lady like style.  Her lovely looks are always complimented by her retro inspired hairstyles that are just gorgeous.
Melissa has made quite a bit of headway in this blogging game and I am so inspired by it.  I truly love Fashion Blogging and I’m always happy to see my favorites get the recognition they deserve.  This classy lady has been featured in Essence and InStyle Magazines, on Fashion Blogs:  Black Girls Killing It and Fashion Bomb Daily, and on the Wendy Williams Show as one of her Instaglam of The Day winners just to name a few.  Kudos Melissa!  Keep up the fabulous work.
Aside from her blogging accomplishments, This year Melissa has incorporated another venture in her life into her blog and social media.  She made a lifestyle change and has become healthier and happier and she looks A-Maz-Ing.  It’s very powerful to share your personal goals with the world, but I see how her followers thank her for inspiring them and that is a reward in itself.
Not only have Melissa and I connected virtually, but I also had the pleasure of meeting her last year and she is such a sweet heart and I love her personality.  She’s a Cancer like me and we’re the best!  LOL!  I’m sure with all that I’ve told you, you still want to know more about her and her fabulous style.  So check out Melissa’s interview:

Name:  Melissa Ward

Full Time Career:  Electronic Mechanical Tech

Tell Me and My Readers a little bit about yourself and your background.
I'm a Wife, Mom , Electronic Mechanical Tech in the field of aviation by day and a Personal Style Blogger by night.

How would you describe your signature style?  If I could describe my style in one word: Simplicity

How do you go about creating an outfit or look? I'm that girl who thinks about what she's wearing a week in advance to an event LOL!

What is your FAVORITE Feature to accentuate? I love to accentuate my legs. I think that's my best feature.

Do you have any Fashion Challenges?
My fashion challenge is definitely pants!!!! Shopping for jeans were depressing until I discovered Forever 21 Plus jeans, they fit amazing for girls with curves.
What are your FAVORITE places to shop? I don't really have a favorite place to shop.  It varies from online deals at ASOS to thrifting at some of my favorite Consignment Shops in town .

Who are your FAVORITE Designers and/or Clothing Brands?
I'm not that girl that's into labels if I like something I buy it.

Is there a Fall/Winter trend that you’re dying to incorporate into your wardrobe?
If I wasn't living in Florida I would love to rock the long trench coat with distressed denim and heels trend , But this weather won't let me be fabulous, LOL!!

Why Blogging?  What turned you on to the Blogosphere? I started blogging in 2010 just for fun and it wasn't until 2012 that I began to take it more seriously.
What thing(s) sets your blog apart from other blogs?  I think what sets my blog apart from others is that I have a message.  My number one goal is to inspire others no matter if it's through Fashion or my Faith or as of late my new Healthier Lifestyle . I want to matter.  I want someone to say if she can be sexy without showing it all then so can I.  I want someone who has lost hope to be inspired by my words.  I want someone who thinks they can't get healthy to say if she can I know I can!

Where do you see your Blog a year from now?  A year from now I see Faith Family Fashion doing bigger and better things.

Name 3 Bloggers whose style you just live for.
As you know, my blog is geared towards FASHION and FINANCE, so tell me in what ways you combine the two.
Well, I'm definitely a shoe girl so I spend more money on heels and I save money on my clothes by thrifting and shopping on clearance racks.
So Dolls, I know you’re going to think I’m doing this on purpose but I’m not.  The look I decided to re-create of Melissa’s was from July 14th as well.  Ha!  My Birthday is the best!  I chose…"Trimmed in Gold” from Melissa’s July 14, 2013 post.  It’s my favorite color combination of Red, Black and White so I couldn’t resist.  Melissa, I hope you like it girlie.
Now for my attempts at channeling Melissa's poses....LOL!!
So Dolls, how did I do recreating Melissa's look?
