While There's Still Time...

Hey Dolls!!

I don't know why, but I'm in a hurry to rock my whites before Labor Day.  Years ago, I let go of that silly fashion rule, mostly because I live in a city where I can get away with the fashion faux pas without suffering any consequences.  But it's just something about the end of August that makes me feel like I should be rocking my white.  Perhaps its because I'm from a place where that has been a long standing fashion no-no.  After the unnecessary fashion battle I had with myself (in my own head), I pulled out my white pants and created this easy breezy look.

Give Me Flowers!

Hey Dolls!!

I had been looking for a coordinate set for a while, but all the ones that I had been seeing were online and much more than I planned to spend for such a trendy look.  Well, I was doing some bargain shopping during 4th of July Weekend and came across one that I liked at a great price.  I decided to wear it on my birthday weekend for a fab brunch with some of my friends and it was just perfect for the occasion.  I wanted to be cute and comfy and this was perfect. Its amazing what you can find during a Holiday Sale Weekend and 4th of July is one of my favorites for shopping.
I was definitely happy to find this set at JC Penney.  After wearing this as a set, I know that I can get use of the pieces separately too.  I've already thought of a few ways to create multiple looks with these pieces. I think they are just as bold as separates as they are together.  So we'll see what I come up with.

Currently Inspired By

Hey Dolls!!

So today I wanted to share with you some bloggers and social media mavens that I am just loving right now.  They all inspire me creatively in a variety of ways and I decided to share because I'm sure you will garner some inspiration from these amazing sites and social media accounts.  I've included some snap shots and video links of their sites and some of my personal favorite things they have shared.  So Dolls, in no particular order here we go...

Happily Audrey

This is the lovely lifestyle blog penned by Audrey Adair.  With "Happily Audrey" Audrey shares everything from her life's happenings, to fashion, to travel, and the things in life that just make her happy.  Audrey is a local Tampa blogger that I actually had the pleasure of meeting earlier this year at Christian Fashion Week and she is just as lovely as her blog personality displays.  Be sure to check out Happily Audrey and instantly gain some inspiration and creative fire from her views and experiences.

Beauty By Lee

Stephanie Lee is a the beautiful beauty expert behind "Beauty by Lee" and her face is always beautifully beat!  She shares hacks on how to recreate her fabulous looks via multiple social media platforms. My favorite of course is her YouTube Channel where she provides step-by-step makeup tutorials as well as tricks of the trade for you to achieve a beautifully made face, from things to purchase, where to buy and how to apply them.  If you are in need of inspiration in the beauty department, I encourage you to check her out.  Stephanie is a woman on a mission to make the world beautiful one face at a time!

Be My Guest With Denise

Denise Cooper is so awesome to me!  A Blogger and YouTuber, that as you may have guessed by the title of her blog, focuses on making her home a beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable place for her family and guests.  Her home is decorated in such a beautiful fashion providing the feel of interior designed expertise for everyday people on a budget.  One of my favorite things about Denise is how she continuously updates her d├ęcor for the season and the occasion.  Denise's channel inspires me in several ways, mostly from a hosting perspective.  I am amazed at all the effort she puts into hosting gatherings for her family and friends in her home and she does it all within a very reasonable budget. The video below is one of my favorite tours of hers. Take a loot at her home office.

 The Coveteur

The Coveteur is one of the top and highly sought after Fashion & Lifestyle Blogs out there!  But me, I'm in LOVE with their Pinterest Page.  The categories they selected couldn't be better if I'd  picked them out myself.  In other words, The Coveteur carefully curated all of their boards to give their followers a beautiful array of pins to like, love, and get lost in.  Do yourselves a favor Dolls and get into it now!

Travel Noire

I don't quite remember when I came across this Instagram account but I'm so glad I did. Talk about inspiration.  Listen Dolls, I love traveling, however, this account has opened my eyes up to more than I could ever imagine for international travel.  By description, Travel Noire is said to create tools, resources & experiences to help travelers discover their next journey.  I would say they definitely live up to that.  The account is very informative and interactive and is designed to inspire.  The cool thing is, they share pictures directly submitted from their following of travelers and their personal vacation experiences.  If you are a traveler in need of a new destination to explore, look no further than Travel Noire.  You might even find some travel deals!

Transitional Pieces

Hey Dolls!!

This is one of those posts that is no not true to real time. Sorry Dolls, but sometimes it happens.  I wore this outfit and took pictures in it so long ago. I have no idea why I'm just getting around to posting it.  Just busy as ever, I guess.  This look is one that I believe that can be worn throughout the year which is a great thing in my opinion.  Versatility is very important to me when it comes to fashion. This entire look and the individual pieces can be worn in multiple seasons and multiple ways.  The layering of transitional pieces always provides an opportunity to create more.

I hope you Dolls enjoy the rest of your day!

Fashionable Modesty

Hey Dolls!!

I have been told by quite a few people that they have a problem balancing fashion and modesty and of course that sent my fashion minded wheels turning.  Now for me that has never been a problem, but I can definitely understand and empathize with those who struggle in this area.  If you have been following me for awhile, you can definitely see the variety in my fashion choices, but you can also tell that I do have a conservative and modest side to me. But that doesn't mean things can't be fun.  I didn't have that in mind when I put this look together, but I immediately thought about it when I reviewed the pictures.
I think this look embodies Fashionable Modesty suitable for the corporate workplace (which is where I wore it), church, or event an event like a graduation.  I have several friends that have personal and religious beliefs that don't allow them to wear pants or skirts that aren't a certain length and midi skirts are a fashionable solution perfect for those that struggle with finding options.  The bonus with this look that I am wearing is that both the skirt and the blouse are thrifted!!  So Dolls, I promise you the options are out there you just have to be open minded and take your time, or solicit the services of someone who can offer assistance like me.

Staying Sporty

Hey Dolls!!

So how goes it Dolls?  I'm hanging on to the rest of the days of Summer as long as I can.  I decided to keep it Sporty today with this dress I picked up from one of my favorite local boutiques herein Tampa "Don Me Now".  I have had this baby in my closet for quite a while for all of the wrong reasons. When I first bought it, it fit fine but when I got ready to wear it, Let's just say it wouldn't be a good look for me, LOL!!
I bought this dress around the time that Don Me Now opened for business and knew it was a piece I could actually wear during multiple seasons and multiple ways. I haven't figured out what I plan on doing with it when we get our few days of cool/cold weather down here but I will definitely be wearing it differently.

Dolls, as much as I LOVE Summer, I am looking forward to Fall, strictly for fashion purposes.  I am looking forward to rocking some Fall fashion and seeing everyone else in it as well.

Dolls, tell me what trends are you holding on to for Summer and looking forward to in Fall?
